    Hello Friend,

Here I came across to your query in which you have asked about the main difference in Pa30 and Pa40 in SAP.

As you know PA30 and PA40 both are used in SAP ERP Human Capital Management then you must need to know then both will be related to employee in any firm.

So, here you may go for the major difference in PA30 and PA40:

PA30 is used to manage the record of an individual employee or infotypes of people in a firm. And PA40 is mainly used to manage the record of many employees or many infotypes of people or employees.

So, here it is clear that when you need to maintain one infotype but along with it you need to record it as an action on the group of people than you must need PA40.

PA30: Invidual infotype. Can use IT0000 wil ALL ACTIONS LISTED.
PA40: Group of selected action (infotype 0000 with some selected actions).

    Purpose: Easier for user.
