Updated May 18, 2018

Dear Gurus,
We have 4 clients in our DEV server. (131,122,121,111).  We deleted SAP* user in one client (122) by execute the following query, delete from usr02 where bname = `SAP*` and mandt = `122. Now, I logged in 122 client by use this userid SAP* and password PASS. But, when try to change the password of this user id thru SU01 tcode, it shows message as User SAP* does not exist. (Message No. 01124)
The default value for the parmater login/no_automatic_user_sapstar in our system is 0. How to change the password of this user ... ? Could you kindly clarify ... ?
We have SAP R/3 Enterprise Extn. 4.70 X 110. Oracle 8.1.7.4.0 database, Redhat Linus 2.4.9 OS.

Thanking you.

    Hi,

Rather than using SU01 to change the password have you tried to change the password using the log-on page tiself....I think this should work ....Tryin to change the password with the Change password button that comes on the logon page itself.
