I have joined in WIPRO as a campus recruit after completing my master’s degree. Before joining this very company I thought of having a good career and learning which turned out worst phase in my life afterwards. I have heard lot about WIPRO’s bad policies from my friends and thought that they would not play a major role as long as I work better.
They sent us to an induction program which is of two and half months where they kept us with B.tech guys and taught us the same very basic concepts which we learned in our M.tech. The bad part of this training is that they treated same as Btech guys and taught us the same which is of waste. I am highlighting this point because a lot of people think that WIPRO has some good training programs.

After training I have to report to the group head there. Here my job is to ask them for giving us good project. I was warming the bench for 4 months and finally they approached me and gave me a project. Here I have to mention the problem of “billability” an employee who is working under a project will get the billable amount otherwise some amount will be deducted from his promised salary. So an employee in WIPRO has to search for projects and also search for a good project manager to get his work, so pathetic when considering you are recruited for doing work.
During that time we have little assistance from the senior experienced guys. Worse thing is that we do not have project lead or module lead and all the team has to work under a project manager. The work we have done is so amateur that after wards that project got escalated and the work done by most of the people in my team has to be done again. The employee assessment we have received there is of no use and to tell you the management feels pride of their assessment policies which is of no use in real time experience.
The pay structure there is so horrible compared to other companies. The pay hikes I got were so less even though I got good rating. Then I started realizing the mess I was in there. Wipro is surviving just by hiring cheap labor and doing low tech projects. I still wonder after resigning from WIPRO how those working for 10 to 15 years are doing their jobs in that mess.
The learning experience there is worse part of my experience they haven’t assessed any of our batch and to tell you after completing each and every project an employee has to go and search for projects. Every year I have to feel bad when I got hike and I compare it with my friends in other companies even though I have worked hard.
The management there is the worst thing happened to me. Those PM’s don’t care about the employee satisfaction and they will treat you like a coolie of a monthly salary. There are lot of F*****g policies there in wipro. There is one policy by which you have to spend 9 and half hours every day even though you are a bench warmer. In the company you will see lot of slogans like spirit and Integrity which I doubt even those group heads or PM’s know what it is, they just act like bureaucrats who don’t care damn about employees.
I suggest those who are about to join are planning to join this very company to think 100 times before joining as there are lot of employees like me around.
