I joined a company with the main task of establishing and setting up a PMO. Previously, there have only been product managers that have acted as the pseudo PMs and have reported all project updates to other stakeholders in the company. However, with the introduction of project managers, I would like to make the case that they become the new main point of communication rather than the product managers. This will be a big paradigm shift for the product people.
So, two questions:
1) Do you think this is the right structure to use moving forward?
2) Do you have any thought on how this transition can best be managed for the smoothest transition possible?
