I have a question concerning oracle Cloud Control (OEM). Here's the situation: I have a target database that I want to monitor with OEM. I want to use the logins and logouts of all users. Auditing is turned on. I query the dba_audit_trail view vial sqlplus on the target machine. I see that user SCOTT has logged in at 10:05:23 local time. Hmmm, this information is correct. I then put together a linux command file which calls sqlplus and executes the same command. I run this command file from Cloud control
"Run host command". I get the exact same results. So far, so good. For the
last query, I go to query the same record from OEM by going to "Schema",'Database Objects", "Views". I specify the "SYS" schema and the "dba_audit_trail" view. The view appears. I then select "view data". The data comes up, but the time is exactly 4 hours ahead of what the actual time is. I am guessing that this may have something to do with the timezone difference. My timezone is GMT-04:00. Although the correct local time is 10:05:23, the time being displayed is 14:05:23. Should I accept that there is no way to alter the OEM configuration so that it displays the time that I want? I cannot find it in any of the documentation and Oracle support did not provide me with a satisfactory answer.
Thanks in advance.
