After performing the periodic valuation in KE27, rounding difference may occur comparing CO-PA (KE24) and material price analysis (transaction CKM3). How are decimal places handled in CO-PA?
Thanks in advance.
In general all CO-PA value fields are technically defined with 2 decimals. Quantity fields are technically defined with 3 decimal places. Let's take an example how the CO-PA value is calculated.
As per CKM3: Consumption price for CO-PA valuation 3,563.58 USD // User entry: 190,375 PC
Calculation of unit price => 3,563.58 USD / 190,375 PC = 18,7187393 USD
Calculation of CO-PA values:
For quantity of 20.451 this will result in: 18.7187393 USD x 20.451 = 382.8169374243 USD
Since we have 2 decimal places in CO-PA this will be rounded to 382.82 USD.
