how to delete log files from SAP

Dear Basis Guru`s,
Kindly let me know how to delete log files from SAP.This is because here still there is no backup device.This is very urgent.
Pls help me.I am new to basis.

Hi ,

Which database you are using?
For SQL server you can check Note # 625546 and 307911.

Hi,
Goto DB12 and press "Arcive Directory Status" button, it shows the
path where log files are growing. Note down the path and login is OS
Mode, for ex, if you have linux login in character mode, thru xManagar
and go to that location. for example, if the location is
`/oracle/PML/oraarch/PMLArch/` then you issue the command in command
prompt,
After issueing this all log files are displayed. You copy these logs
in temporary folder safely. then remove these logs from this location.
For Ex :
likewise.
