I am seeking for the solution of my query that is given below:
How can I determine the costs of a hint specified in the SQL statement?
If any of you guys familiar with it then please share the solution with me here.
In the SQL editor (for example, in the Database Studio), enter the keyword EXPLAIN before the SQL statement that contains the hint.
As of Web AS Version 7.0, you can use hints for performance analysis in the Database Assistant/DBA Cockpit (transaction DB50/DBACOCKPIT) Problem analysis -> SQL performance -> in the command monitor.
You can use the function Explain with Hint to determine the costs of executing an SQL statement that uses a hint. This function does not execute the SQL statement itself.
You can use the costs displayed for a comparison against the strategy selected by the cost-based SQL optimizer for executing the SQL statement.
