What is the differences between Posting Date, CPU-Date and Document Date ?
The document date is the date of the particular invoice or accounting document which u recd and the posting date is same as the entering date in your system. That is posting dt is equal to the entry dt of the particular document in the respective account. CPU dt is the system date which is configured by the the system admin . If the system is connected on the server then it could be the server CPU dt as well.
For e.g. If you receive the telephone bill on 30.09.14 then 30th is the document dt and if u enter in system on 2.10.14 , then 2nd Oct is the entry or posting dt. If both the dates are different then if automatically affects the particular income or expenditure account. As it may reduce or increase your income or liability for the particular month based on the posting
Hi! Document date is transaction occurred date. But the posting date is later " when u want to effect in the particular account"
