There should be a user-independent setting which enables customers/project teams/project leads to decide for each project whether the earliest or latest start/finish dates are to be displayed in the “Graphical” project view (Gantt chart), the multi-project monitor etc.
Currently, individual users can decide in their user settings whether they want to display the earliest or latest dates for all projects (see Earl/Lst Dates option on the General tab page of the user settings). This leads to confusion when users communicate about planned (calculated) project dates because they see different values depending on their user settings.
enable the project-specific display of earliest or latest dates. The new Earl./Latest Dates field on the Dates and Work tab page of the project definition enables you to select the required date type within the project. This project-specific entry is valid for all users and overrides the corresponding entry in the user settings.
By selecting the date type in the project, you can ensure that all users see the same dates.
You can install the corresponding Support Package, and carry out the manual steps to activate the functionality.
