Responsible for coordinating HP Inc. month-end-close processes to ensure accurate, reliable and on-time financial information from the planning stages to the completion of the accounting cycle for the APJ region.
Responsibilities include monitoring of subsystem data received, Fallout tracking, E2E reconciliations, User Helpdesk, SOX and month-end-close processes such as Revaluation, Allocation, Posting Period Maintenance and GL Validations.
Also responsible for monthly system and process close calendar communication, LH Business Security Ownership and YEC rollover processes.
Manage relationship with FAIT on close related applications and on support required.
Provide timely and relevant communication to Finance audience.
Manage a team of 10 16 individual contributors
Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
Consults with Process Team to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope (e.g., system architecture planning, project implementation, process analysis and improvements, balancing risk, policy development, etc.)
Actively reviews, analyzes, and manages the key controls within the domain of responsibility to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Standards of Business Conduct (SBC), and Accounting Financial Manual (AFM).
Provides leadership during implementation of business-wide programs and products.
Ability to influence an entire business within a broad scope.
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
Typically 4 years of experience in a finance function.
Typically 2 years of supervisory and/or leading an operation team experience.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong experience working on financial systems, particularly SAP, and bridging the gap between Finance and IT.
