The SAP Mobile Services (SMS) business unit is a key player in the mobile interconnect and engagement market. The business unit enables communication between person to person for the operator customers and application to person for enterprise customers.
The role description below lists the primary responsibilities for Financial Accounting Specialist for the SMS Business Services team. This role reports to the Director of Financial Accounting, SMS Business Services.
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Financial Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensure that accounting of revenues and revenue-related expenses, its processes and documentation are performed in accordance with applicable contracts, guidelines and in the relevant systems. Key responsibilities include:
Ensure timely recording of revenues and revenue related expenses on a real-time basis and in accordance with the accounting guidelines and industry practices
Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of customer, vendor and general ledger.
Ensure timely reporting of all financial information in accordance with the financial calendar.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Maintain and improve the processes for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information
Work with the internal or external stakeholders to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
3 years work experience. Preference will be provided to candidates having telco accounting background;
Bachelors degree in accounting is a must.
Strong depth and understanding of basic financial skills.
Ability to think strategically while focusing on execution challenges; structured problem solving skills;
Good communication skills (business writing) to interact with regional accounting shared services and other stakeholders.
