Stechies

Hi Gurus,

I have done the following to resolve this problem and it worked fine.

Delete ALL the entries from following tables in DEV and QAS

1)TMSTLOCKR

2)TPSTAT

3)TRBAT

4)TRJOB

Also delete ALL the files from /usr/sap/trans/tmp folder.

Entries in these tables are created while you import request into the system.

Baring table TPSTAT, rest 3 tables are empty if not in use ( by not in use I mean the request is not getting imported). TPSTAT will record the status of the TP Calls i.e. where the request has been imported sucessfully or no.

I would not recommend you deleting entries in these table manually and cetainly not in TPSTAT. Well yes problem you faced was typical but looking at the logs you could have just checked the root cause of the problem, which to me certainly deleting table entries would not be option.

Deleting entries in /tmp folder is an option always, as you should keep on checking for any old entries in these tables and should delete if found as part of your house keeping.

    Thanks for your suggestion.
Actually I have checked the transport logs and system logs but I could not see any errors there, so finally I did this.

I did not get the complete meaning of  "Deleting entries in /tmp folder is an option always, as you should keep on checking for any old entries in these tables and should delete if found as part of your house keeping."
Can you please explain me this in more detail.

I ment you can delete /tmp folders if your transport getting stuck.

As a part of you housekeeping activity you can delete the old transport logs and contents of tmp folder along with the request. howereve the expiry of such logs or request should be decided by the company policy and not by individual instict.
