By using the SAINT or SPAM transaction you can install any one of the VIRSA, VIRSANH or VIRSAHR ABAP components of the GRC Access Control Suite and are receiving errors in the SPAU or SPDD.
The GRC solutions (either Full Product, Cross System Thin client, Real Time Agent, BAPI's) have already been installed in your system via STMS transports
The download and verification steps below only apply if you plan to continue to use GRC Access Control in the backend ABAP system. If you are planning to use the Java (web) version of GRC Access Control, the verification of data below will not apply to Compliance Calibrator/Risk Analysis and Remediation users.
It is recommended you download all of the table data from the GRC solutions before moving forward with the SAINT installation. If you have installed Risk Analysis and Remediation (formerly SAP Compliance Calibrator), Superuser Privilege Management (formerly Firefighter), Enterprise Role Management (formerly Role Expert) or Risk Terminator, please perform the following cautionary steps:
DOWNLOAD EXISTING DATA
For SAP Compliance Calibrator Users:
Create Rules Transport-
From the SAP CC Cockpit > Rule Architect > Utilities > Rules Transport. Please create and Release the transport before proceeding with the SAINT installation
Create Mitigation Transport-
From the SAP CC Cockpit > Mitigation > Utilities > Mitigation Transport. Please create and Release the transport before proceeding with the SAINT installation
Download SAP CC Tables -
From the Tool Box > Virsa Utilities and Reports > Upload/Download Compliance Calibrator tables. Please download all of the tables to a local drive on your PC
For Firefighter Users:
Download Firefighter Tables-
From the Firefighter Cockpit > Utilities > Download. Download all of the tables (total 6) to your local PC
Download Firefighter Log:
From the Firefighter Cockpit > Administration > Archive > Delete/Download Log. Choose Download option and save the file to a drive on your local PC
For Role Expert Users:
Download Role Definitions:
From the Role Expert Cockpit > Role Definition > Download Roles. Please download all Single and Composite Roles to a local drive on your PC
Download Role Expert Tables:
From the Role Expert Cockpit > Utilities > Download. Download all of the tables (total 3) to your local PC.
In addition to downloading the Existing data, please also take a screenshot of the Rule Architect and Mitigation Libraries so you can verify the entry count once the migration has been completed.
INSTALLING FILES VIA SAINT
Once the steps above have been achieved you may proceed with the SAINT installation with the appropriate GRC solution.
As you have already installed the GRC product(s) on your system, you will run into issues in the SPAU and SPDD when you start the SAINT Installation. To bypass these errors, the Virsa Objects need to be set back to SAP Original in the Modification Assistant.
To do this, select all of the entries that start with /VIRSA/. It is very important that you only select the /VIRSA/ objects as there will be other objects from the customer system in this screen. There is an icon where they can select the whole block which is the Select Subtree button or you can press F9.
Once you select all of the /VIRSA/Objects select the Reset to Original you should be able to proceed with the installation and any further Support Packages.
VERIFY DATA ONCE SAINT INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE
Once the software installation is complete, you should still have all of the table entries in tact in the system.
- For RAR/Compliance Calibrator Users: Please check the Rule Architect and Mitigation Tables to ensure the data is the same as it was before the migration (refer to screenshots taken before migration). If the entries do not exist, you will have to import the Rules and Mitigation transports into the system. Please make sure your Basis Team applies the transports with the overwrite option.
- If you have Mitigated Users and Roles, please check the Mitigation User and Role tables to ensure the data still exists. If the data is not there, you will have to upload the data from the files you have downloaded prior to the migration. Please note that the files to be uploaded must be Text tab delimited format (.txt).
- If you are using SPM/Firefighter please check the Firefighter tables to ensure the data still exists. If the data is not there, you will have to re-upload the Firefighter tables. Please note that the files to be uploaded must be Text tab delimited format (.txt).
- If you are using ERM/Role Expert please check the Role Expert tables to ensure the data still exists. If the data is not there, you will have to re-upload the Role Expert tables. Please note that the files to be uploaded must be Text tab delimited format (.txt).
