I have done MCA in 2006, and SAP-ABAP and ABAP-HR.. in 2007-2008. Now should I change the stream or continue in SAP itself?
If anyone can assist in this regards then it would be a great help for my career.
You have raised a nice question that I would love to answer it. So, you have done MCA and then you have chosen SAP ABAP and ABAP HR as your career. I would love to appreciate your choice of modules SAP ABAP because a MCA holder should prefer ABAP, BASIS or Netweaver. HR(Human Resource) is somehow chosen by MBA holders.
But now after viewing your situation I would love to recommend you to be stick with SAP ABAP as it is a highly paid module if you love to do programming. As you know ABAP is all about developing, testing and debugging SAP bases software and applications. ABAP is called as Advanced Business Application Programming or general report creation processor. In ABAP you can avail smarter salaries, challenging projects and positive looking career path.
You need to work as a fresher or end user in ABAP first and then after an experience of 4 to 5 years you can become a SAP ABAP Consultant. This module can get you attractive opportunities like higher salaries.
But if you hate programming and love system management and want to switch in some any other module then you may choose SAP BASIS which is effective and nice module for them who are from MCA background.
