I have a problem with my IBM Thinkpad laptop connecting to wireless networks.
Mine was all working absolutely fine before I went on holiday last week. Then I took my laptop on holiday but had no internet access. When I got back it refused to connect to my wireless router and even to acknowledge that the wireless network existed. It seemed that the IBM Access had turned off the wireless radio, but since I activated that, it now tries to control my wireless connections with that rather than windows and now invariably fails to detectect any wireless router or fails on the association bit, whatever that is. It's never used the IBM Access before, always Windows and although the icon has always been there, I'd never looked at it by clicking on it until Saturday.
I keep trying to change it back, but it still seems to want to have something to do with the IBM thing when connecting.
I have had it connected twice, but most of the time it won't find any wireless at all even when it's sat right next to the router. I know it'snot my router - it's the same at elsewhere. On the occasions it does find a network, it asks for the key and then loses it again.
I don't understand what's changed. All I can think of is either a failing wireless card or some sort of conflict but no idea why.
