An inactive installation is an installation that cannot be used to log a support message. There are three main types of inactive installations:
- An installation that is no longer associated to a maintenance contract (licenses/product have been removed from the renewal).
- Was never directly linked to a maintenance contract and was created at the time of the Business Objects integration to the SAP landscape.
- Is associated to a maintenance contract that has now expired (past its end date) and has either yet to be renewed, past its renewal date or won't be renewed.
