Logon to IDES ECC6.0

Updated Jun 25, 2018

Been away from SAP scene for about 4 years now. Was a Basis admin for about 8 yrs.Trying to get my feet wet again. Got me a preinstalled copy of ECC6.0 from ebay, installed it and now I cant find the guy to get the logon password. All that was supplied was the userid "sapuser" to logon to client 800. Tried sap* and ddic passwords but no go. Is there any supersuser ID and password I can use to get in and change the users?? If not is there anywhere I can get a new copy of ECC6.0 or even just Netweaver. Wanna spent a few months doing catchup.thanks.

    Why don't you try to reset the SAP* password from sqlplus login ?
    This way you can get into the SAP logon as superuser and change the password of other users...

    Just google for some time and you will find all solutions to make the SAP Server totally in your under control...

    I mean superuser control on all clients including Client 000..

    To reset the password from sqlplus, do the following...

    Type "sqlplus / as sysdba"
    SQL> select * from SAPSR3.USR02 where BNAME='SAP*' AND MANDT='Your_Client_No.';
    SQL> delete from SAPSR3.USR02 where BNAME='SAP*' AND MANDT='Your_Client_No.';
    SQL> commit;

    Now you can logon using SAP* with password 'pass';

    Remember, for this you need to change the profile parameter 'login/no_automatic_user_sapstar' to '0'
    (again you can change it from sqlplus...)

    Hope, this helps you...

    Thanks for the help guys.....I was able to find the login for the test client 800. Now I will have to use Rajesh's method to reset the password in client000 as I need to setup TMS. Client000 is telling me after those failed logins that password login is no more availble. Will give it a shot and let u know.

    Hello All

    I have the exact same issue. Could someone tell me the password for "sapuser". I am new to SAP and do not know how to follow the instructions given by John David (above).

    Thanks in advance

    Rajesh I am back trying to resolve this. I keep getting TNS;protcol adpter error anytime i type in the /as sysdba command.
    I have tried stopping and starting the listener but nothing.
    I have also started sqlplus /nolog and then
    SQL>connect /as sysdba
    This also is giving me the tns error

    This report here looks like it can work but I dont have developer access when i create it.

    Hi!, I have the same problem, I bought the ECC 6.0 on eBay but the seller never told me sapuser password, he told me there is a text file on the desktop with user and password to login sap, and it is but no password. emailed him but not response since 2 months ago.
    I tried with "pass" and "06071992" but do not works, could someone told me if have another password, just to check. maybe it is the same seller and the same password.

    I'm new in SAP

    Could someone tell me how to change the profile parameter 'login/no_automatic_user_sapstar' to '0' using salplus?

    try DDIC with the same password as the SAP server admin. I also bought it on ebay, and the guy who sold me the copy, made the password of DDIC (client 000) same as dm0adm, the server admin.

    By the way, for the TNS error, try to set oracle_sid=your sid in windows. It fixed my TNS error.

    Windows pass india123
    client 800 login sap* with password "06071992" worked for me
    Now I only need a developer key to start developing.
    And I would like to extend licence beyond 2010 March.
    SAP IDES cool :)
    I can try things I can never do by clients.
