I am looking to set up storage redundancy for a couple of VMs using OpenFiler. I was looking for some testaments on NFS v. iSCSI. Which protocol do you prefer and why?
Thanks in Advance.

NAS (NFS) vs. SAN (iSCSI) usually makes for some interesting discussions or debates, not to mention when you put in context of VMware and various preferences. Having said that NAS has come a long way with VMware in terms of feature / functionally capabilities. Personally I have my VMware datastores on iSCSI or local, and then use NFS for VMs guests to access for shared storage.
How are you planning on using NFS or iSCSI with VMware? What type of performance, how configured for HA, resiliency, whose storage solution, etc.?
