    Hi Naveen,

Here is the step by step procedure for u:

This is the default configuration for printer in SAP. U need not to define printer in OS on server, it will take the default printer of client:

    T Code: SPAD

    Device type:  SAPWIN
    Host printer: __DEFAULT
Host spool access method: F (Printing on front end computer)

For the WAN you need to have a Print Server where you have installed many of the printer, some of them over WAN and they will work fine if you do this :-

The server must have SAPLPD installed.

    Output device: LPFP
    Device type: SAPWIN
    Destination host: sapdev
Host printer: HP_HP1  (printer name on the Printer Server)
Host spool access method: S (Print on LPDHOST via SAP protocol) .

    HI Naveen ..

    To configure the printer ..
first u to configure at OS level
After that at SAP level using  transaction code SPAD

    In SPAD ..
u wll have different options ..

    • Go to Extended admin

    • Go to O/P devices .. and choose create  and u to enter device type ,host printer(OS level) and Access method ( generally we wll use L)

After this go to SU01 and assign this printer to the user
Lastly print any thing using se38..
U wll recevie spool request and o/p request

    Bye
    Anil
