Duties include developing and maintaining the SAP ABAP objects like Report, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms in ECC, BI, XI.
The SAP system will be available to the customers on a 24 x 7 schedule and will involve after hours work for maintenance and development support for the SAP functional team. Key Responsibilities include.
SAP BI developer will be developing solutions as they relate to SAP Business Intelligence/Data warehouse application and projects, including SAP BW backend components, custom reports.
Develop/Enhance/test BI reporting models by implementing the appropriate Back End structures (including Info sources, ODSs, and Info Cubes) needed to meet business requirements.
Utilize ABAP development skills for BI/BW reporting. Production Support Initiate review, assessment, implementation of methods to improve existing processes, performance, security and data access.
Proactively identify opportunities to utilize BW to satisfy business requirements.
Drives data mapping and process mapping
Performs the impact analysis of any change in the BI business requirements OR design.
Business Problem and root-cause analysis for any BI related issue Administration / Support: Prepare / Monitor/ Troubleshoot / Test BI servers & BI tools (GUIs) for testing / production Develop Business Intelligence (BI) Reports and Structures via various tools: BEx, BOBJ, etc Monitor system operations to verify: data loading completes successfully, transports are imported successfully, jobs are scheduled appropriately,data loads are initialized correctly, re-loading of data is handled correctly, user performance issues are resolved, etc.
For multiple SAP BI servers in complex landscape (including ECC, BW, BPC, BOBJ, Portal, Duet, etc.) SAP BI developer experience(BI 7.0 preferred and BO 3.1) including both backend cube development and front end reporting experience.At least one to two full life cycles of SAP BW implementation experience Proven track record of modeling complex SAP BI/BW solutions Good balance of experience in SAP BW Configuration, Modeling, data extraction and reporting areas.
Cross functional knowledge of other SAP modules (SD, MM, FICO, SCM) Experience in BEx Analyzer and WEB Reporting as well as in Web application designer, Query Designer, SAP Business Objects tools Experience in integrating and extracting data from Source systems ECC 6.0, CRM, SD,HCM ,MM, FI/CO, SCM (5.0) using Standard, Generic extractors and other tools. Strong ABAP development skills
