While connecting to data stored in our network such as SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Universes, SQL Server databases, etc in SAP BusinessObjects Cloud 1.0. SAP BusinessObjects Cloud require installing Cloud for Analytics agent in your network in order to access resources located on that network.
To install Cloud Agent in SAP BusinessObjects following steps needs to be followed:
Install and configure SAP HANA Cloud Connector
For configuring SAP HANA Cloud Connector (HCC), the S-User credentials and HCP account name are needed for the HCP instance where our BOC tenant is running. The above-mentioned information can be obtained by contacting SAP and opening an incident under component LOD-ANA-BI.
Then Deploy the SAP BusinessObjects Cloud Agent
The SAP BusinessObjects Cloud Agent(BOC Agent) is just a war file which can be deployed on Tomcat application server. For this either we can use an existing Tomcat Java application server running in our environment or we can install a separate application server to deploy BOC Agent war file
Deploy SAP JCO connectors for BW and ERP connectivity
Configure Access Control in SAP HANA Cloud Connector
Next step is to Configure Access Control in SAP HANA for this:
Launch https://<HCC host>:8443 to launch the HANA Cloud Connector configuration page.
Configure SAP BusinessObjects Cloud Agent in our BOC tenant
Log in with an account that has administrative access and Launch your BOC system (tenant) URL.
Access System >> Administration option
Click on the SAP BusinessObjects Cloud Agent tab and edit the configuration. Enter the following information:
Host: <virtual hostname specified during the HANA Cloud Connector configuration>
Port: <virtual port specified during the HANA Cloud Connector configuration>
Username: <username specified in tomcat-users.xml file>
Password: <password specified in tomcat-users.xml file>
