Satyam Computer Services, a leading Indian IT company, announced that it has been named a `Global Partner` for SAP, the market and technology leader in business software solutions, at SAPPHIRE 2008, SAP`s international customer conference.
In line with its new partner status, Satyam (Q, N,C,F)* announced that it aims to expand the reach of its SAP solutions by growing its number of global SAP consultants from 5,000 to 6,800 by the end of the year.

Shares of the company declined Rs 3, or 0.74%, to settle at Rs 402.65. The total volume of shares traded was 382,714 at the BSE (Wednesday).
