Once the query is being executed in Microsoft Internet Explorer to the SAP Web Application Server (SAP WEB AS), internet explorer will display after almost two minutes with an error page with the content “HTTP 500 connection timed out”. The Client i.e. IE will send a Post request with the help of XMLHttpRequest to SAP WEB AS. After receiving a query the server will breakdown the network connection.
After then IE will send the query again to Web As but at the same time it will not send the request data again. Please make sure that while using the HTTP request header, the maximum content length will be set to greater than 0 in comparison to the request body that does not contain any kind of data. The server will wait for the data that is missing until timeout occurs and then it will send a HTTP 500 error page or the below error codes:
Although Microsoft has already deep-rooted that this error is an internet explorer problem that will affect all the versions and still not Microsoft does not find a solution for this Microsoft problem. To sort out this error sap has generated a workaround with this error that is being identified by Microsoft and therefore the request is sent again. For this you have to make the registry key that is being mentioned related to all the clients.
