Starting at about 9:24a CT today production started experiencing failures on port 5004 on various Nodes at different times when DCN was running.
Devices were syncing slowly. customer stopped the DCN jobs but there were many syncs failing per MobiLink Profiler. they restarted the services on all 5 Nodes and this seemed to have resolved the issue.
However, an hour later at about 4:15p ET all devices are failing to sync. The crm_local connection pool is missing. and port 5004 failures and very slow sync and very poor DCN processing.
Follow the below steps:
- Do not make changes on the secondary SMP server.
- Do not delete the connection profile or any files under the SMP server directory.
- If changes are needed make the changes via the SAP Control Center and always make the changes to the primary node in the cluster first never make configuration changes to any of the secondary nodes.
