Hello SAP Gurus,
Can you guys tell me that how can I specify hints in SAP MaxDB as I am working on it and faced this query then need a valid and easy solution for this.
If anyone is familiar with it then please suggest me.
Thanks in Advance!
On the database side, hints are entered in the SQL statement directly after the SELECT, UPDATE or DELETE commands with the following syntax: /*+ <hint> */
For example: SELECT /*+ KEYACCESS */ * FROM MARA ...
This syntax embeds database hints in SQL comments that are by default introduced with "/*" and ended with "*/".
If <hint> contains objects with special characters (for example, an index name with a tilde), you must write these objects in capital letters and enclose them in quotation marks. Regular entries are not uppercase-sensitive or lowercase-sensitive.
For example: SELECT /*+ InDeXACCESS("MARA~0") */ * FROM MARA ...
