Installed base is nothing but a hierarchical & comprehensive representation of objects i.e. installed at your customer site for which service is offered. It can include intangible objects like software packages, licenses etc.
I am stuck in to maintain user status for installed base because I have assigned the status profile to transaction level only but still SAP help is saying there is a possibility to maintain in installed base.
Also looking IS there any way to maintain user status for individual objects?
Firstly you have to create the status profile of User.
IMG > CRM > Transactions > Basic Settings > Status Management > Change Status Profile for User Status
And make sure that you have select IBase header as the Object type for your user status. Now click on Object Type button in your user status and you will find the IBase header check box.
Assign the status profile to IBase:
IMG > CRM >Master Data->Installed Base >Installed Base Category >Define Installed Base Category and Installation Rules.
Here you'll have to copy paste the user status profile since it might not be available for selection using F4.
Open your IBase in IB52 and click on Blue info icon next to status field. Below you'll find the user status profile fields assign your user profile and the status will be available for selection.
