The following message with the number TZ1 appears in the system log (SM21):
The time zone of the system could not be determined. Entry with STZAC.
The message is written to the system log if a problem with the system time zone is identified when a valid user time zone is determined during logon to the system. The following prerequisites are possible:
- The user time zone determined is not defined as a time zone in Customizing (transaction STZBC).
- No user time zone could be determined, as no default user time zone is maintained in transaction STZAC.
If one of the two prerequisites apply, one of the following problems may have occurred during the transfer of the system time zone:
- No system time zone is defined in Customizing (transaction STZAC).
- The system time zone set in Customizing (transaction STZAC) is not defined as a time zone in Customizing (transaction STZBC).
Check the time zone settings in the corresponding client, and enhance or correct the corresponding Customizing settings (transaction STZAC or STZBC). When you do this, make sure that although the system time zone is cross client, that Customizing settings for the time zone are client-specific. If the Customizing settings for the time zones (transaction STZBC) are completely missing in the client, the current data can be imported into the client.
