How Can We Trace the Gateway?
When you get error that you suspect comes from the Gateway or Solution Manager backend, a trace in the Gateway will help you on the trouble shooting.
To perform the trace, use transaction code /IWFND/ERROR_LOG. In this transaction, by default, the error log is displayed in "Secure Level" and some information is hidden. You can change the error log level to the "Full Level" to get more information and be able to replay the error. For details about how to change the error log level, click the "Log Level and Authority" button (Ctrl+F8) in the transaction.
Optionally, in case you do not see any error log, you can also perform the trace in transaction /IWFND/TRACES. You will need to add the user, change the Payload Trace to "Active" and save configuration, before you reproduce your issue.
