I have an old Western Digital Elements 2TB external USB HDD – probably around three years old at this point. I had ran the Data Lifeguard Diagnostics on it to see if it was still okay since I was looking for some of the data off of it that I didn’t have backed up to anywhere else when I got the “Too many bad sectors detected” message. The drive shows up in Disk Management but doesn’t indicate the file system. Funny, it does show and say it’s “Healthy” but it currently inaccessible as I try to click on it and I get the “H: is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable”. Any way I can get to see this drive’s contents again?
