Usage of CDPOS and CDHDR Tables in SAP

What is CDPOS?

CDPOS is a standard Change Documents Transparent Table in the SAP BC application. This SAP table stores Change document items data. A SAP user can use the t-code SE16 to view the data in this table, and t-code SE11 for the table structure and definition.

What is CDHDR?

The SAP system table CDHDR holds information about data changes in SAP business tables like MARA. Among other data, this includes the business key (field CDHDR. OBJECTID ), change type, and change timestamp (field CDHDR. UPDATE and UTIME ). 

Purpose of CDHDR and CDPOS

CDHDR and CDPOS are SAP Tables with the help of these SAP tables we can check the document change logs.

Differentiate CDHDR and CDPOS SAP Tables?

CDHDR primarily captures the header details of a change whereas CDPOS is used for changing document line item details.

How to use CDHDR and CDPOS SAP Tables?

Please follow the steps below:

  • Go to transaction code SE16 
  • Copy the change document numbers from Table CDHDR and paste them into the Table CDPOS selection criteria.
