Define Solution Types in SAP Customer Service

In this SAP CS (Customer Service) we will learn the step-by-step procedure to define Solution Types in the SAP system with proper screenshots.

What is Solution Management in SAP CS?

The SAP Customer Service Module with enables SAP users to manage multiple types of service scenarios starting from pre-sales, sales, and post-sales known as Solution Management.

How to Define Solution Types in SAP?

Please follow the steps below to define the solution types in your sap system:

Execute t-code SPRO in the SAP command field as shown in the image below.


Next click on the SAP Reference IMG button to navigate to the next screen

Now navigate to the following SAP menu:

SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > Customer Service > Solution Database > Solution > Define Solution Types

Next on  Change View "SDB: Customizing Solution Type": Overview screen, you will see the list of all previously defined solution types in your SAP system.


Click the New Entries button to define new solution types in your SAP system.

Next on the new entries screen enter the following details for the new solution types configuration as shown in the image below:


Once all the details are entered click the Save icon to save the new solution types in your SAP system.


Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed

A message Data was saved will appear at the bottom of your screen

You have successfully created new Solution Types in your SAP system.
