Define Standard Events in SAP

In this SAP PS (Project System) tutorial the SAP users will learn the step-by-step process to define a new Standard Event in SAP PS system with proper screenshots.

What are Standard Events in SAP?

Standard events are the scenarios created by SAP users that contain in Customizing for SAP Project System 

How to Define Standard Events in SAP?

Please follow the steps below to define ps text types in your SAP system:

Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and execute it.

On the next screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed to further steps.

Now navigate to the following SAP IMG path:

SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > Project System > Progress > Progress Tracking > Define Standard Events

Next on the Change View "Component Events: Overview screen you will see a list of previously defined Standard Events on your SAP system.

Next, click the New Entries button to define configurations for the new Standard Events.

Next, enter the Event name and  various other details under Component Events according to your business requirements shown below in the image:

Once all the details have been entered click the Save button to save the new configuration of the Standard Events.

Now select your Customization Request id and press Enter to go to the next screen.

Next, the message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen implying all the configurations for new Standard Events types have been saved in the system.

You have successfully defined new Standard Events in your SAP system.
