Data Security of EHS Transactions

Hello Experts,

I am trying to use the EHS transactions CG3Y and CG3Z for upload and download of files using the EHS transfer functions. How do I guarantee that my data in the application server is secure?

Thanks in advance.

To begin with, note that use of the EHS functions to upload and download files outside of EHS modules is not supported, and you might face problems not only with security but also with operations if you do that. The best way to ensure data security while uploading and downloading files over EHS is to adequately restrict the import and export functions taking into account your own data security concept.

There are several authorization objects that you can make use of while you alter the import and export restrictions, and some of them are S_TCODE, S_DATASET, S_PROGRAM, and S_GUI. Further information on how you can use these objects is available in the note on objects associated with transaction SU21. If you want a more detailed list of authorization objects, you can search for them in the Repository InfoSystem of transaction SE84.
