While Installing a new cluster with SMP 3.0 SP09 PL03 on Linux to an Oracle DB and Deploy an Agentry application (e.g.- Work Manager 6.3)
After some time the cluster will become unresponsive The SMP Administration cockpit becomes inaccessible. Issuing a stop request via command line does not work and the SMP processes have to be force stopped through the OS.
The reason cluster stop responding after some time because the Oracle database has a concurrent connection limit that is set too low.
You can Increase the concurrent connection limit for the Oracle DB. At minimum you would want to set the limit to 8 connections per SMP Server node.
However, depending on the environment and the applications deployed you may need a higher value.
