SYSTEM_NO_ROLL Dump

Updated May 18, 2018

Which symptoms indicate that SYSTEM_NO_ROLL when saving data to InfoCube?

The system dumps with SYSTEM_NO_ROLL or SYSTEM_CORE_DUMPED, when planning data which will be saved from BPS into InfoCube. When the system cannot allocate sufficient amount of memory for the statement "EXPORT TO DATA BUFFER", this problem appears in the include UPC_BWINTERFC__FIX. In background jobs that process larger data, this usually (but not necessary) appears.

How should I resolve this?

The corresponding SP or the correction instructions should be applied. This export statement will not be used if the BW runs locally with BPS. The data cluster will be allocated in compressed form, if the BW runs over RFC from BPS. Presence of such problems will no more be there. Adjust the system parameters (ztta/max_memreq_mb also see "What can you do" section of the dump SYSTEM_NO_ROLL in the ta ST22) and apply the kernel patch 1239 (for 620 base).
