CATS with Wage Type

Updated May 18, 2018

Hi,

Have Configured Hours ( h) In wage type Characteristics as Units of
Measurement and input combination for Number / Units.
But when entering H( Hours ) in Time sheets against the Wage types its
giving error message stating Quantity to be entered. Is it mandatory to enable "CATSD-UNIT" from the field selections for the data entry profile??

Can I know where exactly have I gone wrong.

Thanks

    Hello,

Can anyone please help me with my above question. Requirement is to allow to capture hour against Wage Type in CATS timesheet and the same has to be transferred to IT2010 upon approval and transfer to HR.

As stated above I tried 2 option.

1st: Configured Hours ( h) In wage type Characteristics as Units of Measurement and input combination for Amount "-" and Number / Units "+". But when entering H( Hours ) in Time sheets against the Wage types its giving error message stating Quantity to be entered.

2nd option tried: Configured wage type Characteristics input combination as nither amount "-" and nor Number / Units "-" and unit of measurement as "Hours". Now I am able to enter time agains wage type in CATS but i dont see an entry in PTEX2010 and PTEXDIR tables. So the hours are not transfered to HR infortype 2010.

Please let me know where have I gone wrong.

Have you configured the entry of w/t with IT 2010?
With option 1, are you entering the number of hours along with the w/t?

    Hello Experts,

I am able to enter hours against wage type in CATS timesheet. But these entries are not in PTEX2010 table, hence it is not transfered to IT2010. Can anyone tell what i am missing here.

As per CATS documentation it say if you enter time agains wage type, it will be transferred to IT2010. But in my case it is not happening. Please help.

    Amit

We configured "Time Types" in CATS. These are mapped to "Wage Types".

When we run CAT6, IT 2001 (Absences) & IT 2002 (Attendances)are populated with our wage types. Then Time Evaluation (PT60)calculates hours ready for our payroll.

In the past, we used to use IT 2010 for time recording however we were not using CATS at that time.

Have you configured working time attributes and data entry profiles, so that entering a wage type with hrs can generate IT 2010?

    Thanks for your reply.

I have configured data entry profile. Can you tell me what is working time attributes?

My data entry profile only has 2 Columns i.e Wage Type and Unit of Measurement. I have maintained IT315. Am I missing something?

    Thanks in Advance.

Wage Type is created under IT2010. SO I am assuming this is the relation between cats and IT2010.

Standard CATS document says hours / amount entered against wage type in cats will be transferred to interface table PTEXDIR and PTEX2010. When we execute CAT6 tcode the data will be moved to IT2010. In my case i can save the hours with wage type in CAT2 but these entries are not in table PTEX2010 and PTEXDIR. Not sure what am in missing here.
