MIBC results do not match table MVER

Updated May 21, 2018

Hello SAP Experts,

I have executed the report MIBC with the checkbox 'All Materials held in stock' set and I got my material from the output but the output of MIBC doesn't match the figures (Quantity & Value) of table MVER.

This issue can be regenerated by:

  • First go to transaction MIBC.
  • And then enter in Plant / Material.
  • Now set the Consumption dates and set the indicator 'All Materials held in stock'.
  • Atlast Execute.

You will notice that the figures within table MVER do not match that of the output from report MIBC.

The issue you are facing is due to following reasons:

    1) 'Period Indicator' is blank if you check the 'Consumption' in the Material Master

    • Navigate to transaction MM03.
    • Now please enter the Material number.
    • Navigate to Additional Data > select 'Consumption'.
    • You will notice that Period Indicator is not filled.

    2) Check table MARC for the material.

    • Navigate to transaction SE16.
    • Now enter table MARC.
    • Also, enter your Material / Plant.
    • And when you select indicator PERKZ you will notice that its not filled.

In order to avoid the above issue please make sure that the 'Period Indicator' should be set in the material master for Consumption values to be updated correctly.

    • Navigate to transaction code MM03
    • Now enter Material / Plant / Storage Location.
    • Now navigate to tab MRP 3.
    • Now please enter the Period Indicator under Forecast Requirements and save
