Shelf Life Expiration date are changed in the newly assigned batch.

Updated May 18, 2018

The finished product  is managed in batches for which the date of production or the expiration date or the shelf life expiration date (SLED) is specified in the batch master record. When you enter a confirmation, you can branch to the goods movement overview on which the goods receipt for the finished product is displayed. If the displayed batch is now replaced by another, the date of production and/or the expiration date/shelf life expiration date of the initially displayed batch is transferred to the last entered batch during saving.

When you branch to the goods movement overview the system determines the components to be backflushed as well as the automatic goods receipt. During this process, the manufacturing and expiration data / shelf life expiration date are read from the assigned batch and saved in the internal table. If the batch is now changed, the data is not copied from the newly assigned batch. The data for the old batch is still contained in the old batch and is thus transferred to the newly assigned batch.

When you change a batch in the goods movement overview, the system now reads the data of the new batch. If there is not any data known for the new batch yet, the SLED dialog box for the data entry is displayed.
