Delete a Personal Number in SAP

In this SAP HR (Human Resources) tutorial, the users will learn the step-by-step procedure to delete the Personal Number of an employee permanently from his/her SAP system with proper screenshots.

Many times users face a situation in which they need to delete the personal number of any employee from the SAP system. These situation arises when they hire the wrong employee at the wrong time or date or any employee left the company on the same date of joining.  Then the users are required to delete the info type and personal number for that specific person.

How to Delete a Personnel Number?

Please follow the steps below to delete personal number:

Execute transaction code SE38 in the SAP Command field to open the ABAP editor.

Next in the SAP ABAP Editor and enter the program name RPUDELPN as shown in the image below

Now, click the Execute icon from the taskbar.

On the next screen under the Selection tab select the Personal Number that you want to delete.

Also, under the Process tab click on the Detailed Log checkbox.

Now click the Execute button

Next click the Yes option for confirmation to delete the number and all data for the selected number.

Once the personal number of an employee is deleted log will be shown.

Note: Once the data of a personal number gets deleted it cannot be recovered anymore. Also if the user wants to delete the infotype about that person then you have to use transaction PU00 or PA30.

At last, if you want to delete all payroll results you can do it by using PU01. But, you must have noted that it would allow only when the posting has not been done. And can use standard report (RPL*DEL*0*) for deletion of the employee.

    This is ok, but it working only on test systems, not on productive system.

    Hi,

    I have some doubts!

    * Can i delete the employee for whom the postings have done?
    * If i delete the employees who had postings what will be the other issues?
