    Hi,
    following are the steps for make-to-stock strategy MRP run-
    1)Create PIR - MD61
    2)Take plantwide MRP run - MD01 . If you want to restrict the effect of MRP run on certain MRP controllers, then use user exit.
    3)Convert planned orders into production orders - CO41
    4)Release production orders (if it is authorised by single person) - co05n
    5) If you directly want schedule lines for subcontracted stages , then maintain quota arrangement for different vendors in purchasing view. Then select choice "create schedule lines" in MD01 screen.

    MRP run means "Material Requirement Planning", wherein once MRP run is done, it checks the availability of Machine (Capacity), Manpower, Materials etc, before commencing for any Production Orders.
