Hello SAP Experts,

The transactions are getting terminated with the following messages:

  • MEMORY_NO_MORE_PAGING
  • EXPORT_NO_CONTAINER
  • CALL_TRANSACTION_MSG_NO_PAGING
  • CALL_DIALOG_NO_CONTAINER
  • CALL_USING_MNNEXT_FAILED

In order to avoid the messages mentioned by you and also in order to simplify the configuration of the maximum SAP paging file size, the default value of the parameter rdisp/PG_MAXFS was set to 250000 8k blocks which are the maximum possible value which corresponds to the SAP paging the size 2 GB. However, the SAP paging file is not created with its full size of 2 GB in the file system from the starting. The space allocated for paging blocks are only used.

Now in order to achieve more simplified configuration, it is advantageous for the values of the rdisp/PG_MAXFS to be set to a default value of 2 GB instead of increasing it manually while the overflow of paging file occurs (MEMORY_NO_MORE_PAGING etc).

Now with the new default value, it is no longer required to set the parameter rdisp/PG_MAXFS in the instance profile explicitly into the most of the cases because the most of the application areas are already covered with the 2 GB maximum total size.

The issue mentioned by you above is caused because the total quality of the used SAP paging memory has exceeded the maximum space available in the paging file.
