Decimal Point and Comma

Updated May 18, 2018

Hello, When I start, let's say, FB60 transaction, and try to enter some amount, the decimal key on the numpad acts like the '.' (point) character. I would like to change this, and to make it type the ',' (comma) character. Is there any way to do this? I have already checked the regional settings in the Windows control panel, and the comma is already set as the decimal separator. When I use Microsoft Excel, everything works fine and I get the comma when I press the decimal key. Now I need it to be the same in SAP. Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

    Hi,

You can go to su01 - user name (User maintenance) - default - Decimal Notation - change the setting which you want.

It is already set to 1.234.567,89 and that is the format that I want. Everything is fine there.
But I would like to change the behaviour of the decimal point key on the numpad. I don't want it to type the point, but the comma instead. Is there any way to do it?

Problem solved! I just needed to switch the keyboard layout from EN to, let's say, SR (Serbian).
Thanks anyway for the effort :)

Thanks for posting the solution also.

I always had confusion in reading data from db02, space used by tablespace's.
My customer is a German customer and in su01 it is set as 1.234.567,89.
Please tell how to interpret 1.234.567,89 correctly.

Depending on which is the target format, translate the dot and comma in the input. The target format is an input parameter and the data is your input for the translation.
