How can i access SAP through internet ?

Updated May 18, 2018

How can i access SAP through internet ? Is there any Note for that. Kindly Guide me to configure .

SAP has its own Internet transaction Server (ITS) . Other products include Haht, WebObjects, NetDynamics etc. Each product has its' own architecture. However to access the database, access paths SAP GUI or RFC Channel have to be used.

The basic requirement to access SAP on internet is to have a static IP address (Get it from your service provider Airtel, sify, tata, reliance, bsnl, tulip etc....).
Once you get the static ip you can use any of these methods:--

    1. Configure sap router / this way you can assign the static ip to sap router and access DEV,QAS and PRD on internet using the router string.
    2. or , assign the static ip directly to the PRD server .

But in any of these methods ,ensure that your servers are behind firewall and only required ports are opened for sapgui to communicate with sap server.

This is a complex procedure and you do need some expertise on system administration.

I don’t think you can without Citrix or VPN. I will ask Tony when he gets in.
