How to Assign a Role to a User Group at One Go?

Go to User Maintenance:initial Screen(By tcode su01)

Then Enter user name whom u want to assign role--> then click on change button --> thenclick on Role tab--> then enter the name of role--> then save.

To assign a role to a group of users at one go, you need to go to the transaction SU10 [ User Maintenance : Mass Changes Initial Screen]. Select the Users that you want to change the authorization, or you can select by the Usergroup that you have created using SUGR by complex selection. It will then list the userids in the user group. Select the change option, and it will take you to the SU01 screen with the Address tab uneditable. There you can go specify the extra role that you want to add to the users in the list.

To assign the roles at once, you can go to SU10. Click F4 for values for field Username. In the window popping up, enter the user group u created. It will show the list of the users in the list. Select the users that you want and then click OK. The users will come to the main screen. Enter in maintenance mode, go to role tab and add the role z_finance that you want. Make sure that you check the check box 'Change'.

I know how to assing a role to a user..... But this is not my question....my question is "How to assing a role to a user group at one go?".(means if we have HR group and in HR group there are 87 users then how to apply a role all of them at once.)

And if this we can do from su01 or through PFCG then let me know the process.

Thanx for your reply. I have created a user group this group assigned to ten users. i have to created a role z_finance i want to assign this role to these ten user.for that i have to assign this role to these ten user or is there any other way for that.

Open the role in change mode, go to user option, select selection, select user by user groups(general), select the users you want to attach.
