Installation SAP ECC 6.0 standalone in computer

Hi everybody,

I want to install SAP ECC 6.0 on my computer so that I can practise it myself at home. But my friend told me that in order to install SAP, we need to have Windows Server (either 2003, 2008 or higher) and we need to install Java before installing SAP.

My computer configuration is as follows:

Processor: Intel Core i7 930 2.80 Ghz

RAM: 8 GB

HDD: 1TB

Windows 7, Ultimate, 64 bit operating system

Based on my computer configuration, can I install SAP ECC 6.0 standalone without installing Windows Server 2008 or any Windows Server because I don't want there are 2 diffrent operating system run the same time in my computer?

If SAP ECC 6.0 is not compatible with my computer, can anyone suggest what type of SAP will suit my computer?I want a SAP with full function of Human Resource, Logistics, Finance, and other ERP functions.

How can I get (download or buy) a installation package? and who will provide it for me?

Do I need to buy SAP licence to run SAP just for pracising at home, no working for any company or do business?

Hi You can install SAP ECC 6.0 on your system... but you have to install it in VMware.
You dont need to buy SAP License..
You can Download the installation package from http://service.sap.com

HI frds i m new to it i have started sap fico course from sap institute but looking for installing sap ecc 6 to install but not getting from anysite or website as a free please if can anyone help me for it my email id is rahulsap.89@gmail.com for further communication.
