What is Object Linkin SAP?

SAP PM Object links are used to represent the dependencies between particular technical objects (pieces of equipment, functional locations). Object links are stored and managed in the Plant Maintenance (PM) application component in an object link master record, by means of a unique number.

How to Define NewObject Link Typein SAP?

Please follow the steps below to define object link type in your SAP system:

Execute t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and execute it.

On the next screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed to the next screen.

Now navigate to the following SAP IMG path:

SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Common Functions > Decision Flow Management Settings > Define DFM Object Link Types

Next on the Change View "Object Link Type Definition": Overview screen you will see a list of previously defined Object Link Typeson your SAP system.

Next, click the New Entries button to create a new object link type.

Next enter the following details as shown below:

Once all the details have been entered click the Save button to save the new configuration.

Now select your Customization Request id and press Enter to go to next screen.

Next, the status bar displays a message Data was saved on the bottom of your screen.
