Our client processes a large amount of inbound and outbound EDI data in the form of IDocs. They use an external EDI provider linked to SAP via SAP Business Connector. We are trying to move from Business Connector to a newly created RFC connection. When we try to use queue processing with packet size set to 10 for an outbound IDoc type, the EDI provider receives the IDocs, but all of the EDI_DC40 records are at the front of the file, followed by all of the data segments. There is no problem when we send a packet size of 1, but for one particular trading partner, the number of IDocs output from the application on a daily basis is very high (1000), so we want to packet the IDocs to maximize throughput.
Packet size 10 is not currently an issue with Business Connector, but we need to migrate to something else due to end of support in 2017. A new RFC connection with our EDI provider seems the simplest and most cost efficient solution.
Any insight would be appreciated.
