What is Transportation Planning Point in SAP?
SAP transportation planning point is a group of employees who are responsible for maintaining all transportation activities in the organization. Every shipment is assigned to a specific transportation planning point for transportation planning and shipment.
How to Define Transportation Planning Point in SAP?
Please follow the steps below to maintain transportation planning point in your SAP system:
Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and execute it.
Now on the next screen click the SAP Reference IMG button.

Next, go to the following SAP menu path:
SPRO -> IMG –> Enterprise Structure –> Definition –> Logistics Execution –> Maintain Transportation Planning Point.
On the next screen, you will see the list of the previously defined Transportation Planning Points on your SAP system.
Next click on the New Entries button to define a Transportation Planning Points in your SAP system.
Now, fill in the following details for the new Transportation Planning Point as shown in the image below:
- TPPt: Input three digits unique key that identifies the new transportation planning point
- Description: Enter a short description of the new transportation planning point
- CoCd: Enter the company code for which you require to maintain the transport planning point.
Once all the details are entered click the Save button at the bottom to save the new configuration.
Now enter all the Address Details according to your requirements.
Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed.
A message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen.
You have successfully defined a new Transportation Planning Point STD in your SAP SD system.
