can any one please give me some suggestions and documents for the CRM upgrade from 5.0 to 7.0.
 
i have some doubts on this....
 
is there any functional and developer involvemet required for this upgrade..and if any scenerios has been implemented as below...what is the procedure to get all the things in the upgraded CRM 7.0

how much time required to upgrade zdevelopemets  and how much is for standard.?

SAP Workforce Management

can any one give me full information as much you can give ..since i am very much new to this CRM ..as i am working as a ERP Basis administrator here.

    You required a detail upgrade plan before you start CRM 7.0 upgrade.

    Developer role needed for this as you are upgrading CRM component with other add-on component and for modification adjustment.

    For your Business scenarios you needs to follow SAP CRM upgrade master guide so you can know one new enhancnement has been delivered with this.

    Total time is depends on your hardware and downtime stratergy you are going to use for your upgrade.

    I suggest first you can perform upgrade off your sanbox system so you can know all estimates.

    Its Completely Functional Consultant issue.

    Functional Consultant need to decide – what upgrade need to be done

    Functional & Technical Consultant would decide the methodology.

    Technical Consultant would follow what group of Functional Consultant would say.

    Ask you Solution consultant – Study the Business Work Flow Completely

    Than go for Upgrade please.

    Just be very carefully of the Methodology you follow and wishing you all the best

    The biggest challenge would be to accumulate all the information from the Functional Consultant and then understand the workflow and the fit in the technical details with the Technical consultant please.

    Please do keep a back up plane ready every time – As said SAND box Testing.

    do you have any advice as to how long an upgrade would take, given that you have clarified WHAT needs to be done, i.e. realise the actual upgrade. I understand that this is depending on the Z-devs, etc.
